The Rice University School Mathematics Project (RUSMP) is seeking applications for a qualified postdoctoral research associate (postdoc) to work under the mentorship of Drs. Adem Ekmekci (PI) and Anne Papakonstantinou (co-PI) on an NSF-funded collaborative research grant. Research activities focus on studying the impact of Noyce Master Teacher Fellowship (MTF) programs on mathematics and science teachers' persistence and retention in relation to their motivational beliefs, leadership skills, diversity dispositions, social networks, and school-work environments. The postdoc will have the opportunity to interact with science, mathematics, and education faculty, education researchers, and postdocs from seven other universities, science and mathematics master teachers across the nation, and advisory board members consisting nationally renowned faculty in education. The postdoc will engage in data collection, data cleaning, data analyses and synthesis, and dissemination of research findings. The postdoc will work closely with PI Ekmekci and assist him in all aspects of the research design and execution.
Advanced doctoral students who are at the dissertation defense stage are welcome to apply; however, the degree must be conferred by August 2021.
