The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and the Pritzker Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health at the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago are seeking a qualified clinical child and adolescent psychologist or pediatric psychologist to serve as the Director of Training-Psychology within the Pritzker Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health at Lurie Children’s Hospital, a nationally ranked, freestanding children’s hospital located on the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine campus.

Duties include: (a) directing the training program in clinical child and adolescent and pediatric psychology for psychology trainees at the practicum, internship, and fellowship level, and contributing to training programs in related fields in the Pritzker Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health and the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Lurie Children’s; (b) ensuring that all requirements are met for accreditation by the relevant governing and accrediting bodies for this program; (c) conducting a research program and taking a leadership role in the development and implementation of departmental research and program development activities; (e) actively participating in Department teaching activities including course development; and (f) provide direct clinical services to children and adolescents.
The faculty appointment will be non-tenure-eligible Clinician-Educator track; rank is Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor. The applicant will have demonstrated the ability to obtain research funding the NIH-level or that of major foundations. Qualified candidates will have obtained a PhD in a clinical psychology training program and completed an APA-approved internship specializing in clinical child or pediatric psychology. At least one of training programs must have been APA-approved. The individual will also have completed a fellowship in pediatric or clinical child and adolescent psychology and have experience in a pediatric medical setting. Hiring is contingent upon eligibility to work in the United States and licensure in Illinois. Licensure in Illinois and Lurie Children’s medical staff membership are required before starting work.
Rank and salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Full-time position. Applications will be evaluated as received.
