This position will be responsible for hiring, training, scheduling and assessment of UNL's current student tour guide program. The positon will work collaboratively with UNL faculty, staff, and current students to ensure tour guides provide high quality, accurate campus tours. Serve in customer service role by responding to phone, email, and in-person contact with campus partners. Provides individual and group presentations for prospective students and answer current and prospective student inquires via phone, email, or in person. Position requires many nights and weekend hours. May 2021 graduates will be considered.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree plus one year of experience working with college students, leadership development, education, youth development or related field required. Must have excellent written and verbal communication and organization skills. Public speaking experience necessary. Ability to handle numerous projects and details simultaneously and accurately essential. Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office software required. Must have ability to relate to people of all ages, academic abilities and cultures. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or clerical support required. Must have a valid driver's license and meet University driver eligibility requirements.
Extensive campus involvement as an undergraduate and enthusiasm representing UNL to the public preferred. Supervisory experience helpful. Experience with sales, marketing or advertising desirable. Admissions experience helpful. Prefer familiarity with UNL’s High School and College Relations operations and procedures. Knowledge of the state of Nebraska and its challenges among under-represented populations desirable. Extensive knowledge of UNL helpful.
Posted Salary: $35,000 minimum
