The mission of the Campus Store is to assist students throughout their academic journey by providing a convenient, affordable and efficient source for books, school supplies, and other services and merchandise related to campus life for students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends of Anoka-Ramsey Community College.
The Customer Service Specialist is responsible for being the primary cashier at the Campus Store on the Coon Rapids campus. This position is responsible for meeting, greeting and assisting customers and visitors in locating and purchasing items from the ARCC Campus Store. This position will also supervise student workers and assist the store manager as needed.
Knowledge of English sufficient to perform the job duties described above, using reading, writing, and speaking skills.
Customer service skills sufficient to communicate effectively with a diverse range of populations; answer general questions regarding college processes; and direct students and the public to appropriate resources and personnel.
Keyboarding skills sufficient to keyboard/type a variety of documents accurately, sufficient to produce forms, memoranda and other materials in an efficient manner.
Knowledge of word processing software sufficient to prepare memos, letters and other materials that are grammatically correct, in proper format, and free of spelling errors using Microsoft Word or equivalent software.
Knowledge of college and student services operations sufficient to answer questions, schedule appointments and direct others appropriately.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, MBSARC.
Database management skills sufficient to enter and retrieve data.
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and security concerning all information received and documents processed.
Knowledge and experience in general office skills, filing, answering phones, copying, sending emails, and organizing and maintaining records.
Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with individuals in a diverse multicultural and multiracial community.
Familiarity with Cash Register operations.
Requires daily moving and/or transporting things (such as boxes, books, etc.) weighing up to 50 pounds.

About Anoka-Ramsey Community College
Anoka-Ramsey Community College (ARCC) is a multi-campus institution and a member of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system. The Coon Rapids Campus is located on the banks of the Mississippi River twentymiles north of downtown Minneapolis. The Cambridge Campus is located on west Highway 95 on the Rum River in Cambridge. Beginning in 1965 with 600 students in a wing of Centennial High School in Circle Pines, Anoka-Ramsey Community College has grown considerably. In 1967 the college moved to the current Coon Rapids Campus of approximately 103 acres. The Cambridge Campus opened in 1978 and has shown consistent growth in enrollment and facilities. In addition, students may complete many ARCC college courses at convenient off-site locations throughout neighboring communities. During the 2008-2009 academic year, more than 11,000 students completed credit classes at the college.
