About the Center:
The Law & Economics Center of the George Mason University Antonin Scalia Law School is a national center for research and education that focuses on the timely and relevant economic analysis of legal and public policy issues. To fulfill its education mission, the LEC provides dynamic training programs in law and economics to sophisticated audiences including judges, academics, lawyers, government authorities and staff members, and state attorneys general and their senior staff.
The Administrative Assistant will perform administrative duties for the Deputy Executive Director of the Law & Economics Center and provide general office support for the LEC. Responsibilities may include managing calendars, screening calls, assisting and making travel and meeting arrangements, drafting correspondence, preparing expense reports, reimbursement requests, and acting as academic support for the Deputy Executive Director.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience;
Strong computer and internet research skills;
Computer proficient with Microsoft Suite;
Excellent interpersonal skills;
An ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as outside clients and vendors.
2 to 5 years of administrative assistant experience within academia or legal office is highly preferred.
