Under direction of the Practice Manager, performs a wide variety of patient care activities in support of clinic activity. This includes prioritizing and assisting in patient triage processing, preparation and assistance with patient procedures, administering medications, collecting and preparing laboratory tests, and patient education. Position requires initiative, ability to prioritize critical demands and the ability to work in a team environment. Other related duties as assigned.
Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) - issued by the state of California.
Certification in Intravenous Therapy and Blood Withdrawal issued by the state of California (LVN IV/BW) within three months of hire.
BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.
One to two (1 - 2) years of previous LVN experience in a similar setting.
Thorough knowledge of universal precautions and proper use of body mechanics.
Previous experience working in a healthcare setting.
Point of Care testing experience.
Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
Willing to work overtime as required.
