Junior Specialist – Huang Lab
Junior Specialist – Huang Lab The Junior Specialist will work with current lab members, including postdoctoral scholars and/or graduate students, to investigate the role of glia in neural development and/or neurodegeneration. S/he will participate in studies that use mouse models and human brain tissues to understand the contributions of glia, including microglia and astrocytes, in the development and degeneration of neurons in regions that are critical for cognition. S/he will characterize the properties of these glial cells and their impacts on neurons and other non-neural cells, such as blood vessels and immune cells, using immunohistochemistry, RNAscope, and microscopy.
