The Department of Computer Science at the University of Tennessee at Martin is accepting applications for an Administrative Associate. Duties include, but are not limited to the following list:
Serve as a receptionist for the Department of Computer Science.
Provide administrative and logistical support to the department chair and faculty.
Monitor and maintain academic reports; departmental faculty, exempt staff, and any student workers; and the chair's calendar.
Assist with departmental faculty searches to include search paperwork, interviewing, and hiring.
Assist in planning and coordinating events for the department.
Compose memos and emails to faculty and students to deliver information.
Screen and sort mail.
Record minutes at faculty meetings.
Enter course schedules in to Banner Administrative.
Analyze and maintain the budget and reconcile departmental accounts.
Process invoices, credits, memos, etc.
Ensure that the departmental office is staffed during normal work hours.
Maintain a student database and student academic/advising files.
Hire and supervise work study students.
Maintain currency on computer programs used within the department/university (IRIS, Banner, Microsoft Office, etc.).
Perform data entry requiring integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
Serve as a resource person for prospective and enrolled students and faculty/staff.
