The Seed Science Center in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Iowa State University is seeking candidates for the position Customer Relations Coordinator III.Â This position will support the seed testing laboratory which provides professional seed-testing services for members of the seed industry.Â
This position will provide customer relation services in a service environment and requires knowledge of products and services to make recommendations, resolve issues, build relationships, and support marketing and sales.Â Responsibilities include interacting with existing and potential customers via phone, e-mail and in person. The incumbent will assist with marketing, conduct billing and other customer-related financial tasks, receive and unpack Â customer seed samples, enter data, Â keep records, and generate Â reports.Â The majority of the duties will be performed in an office setting.
Interacting with customers is for the purpose of selecting proper tests, providing intermediate test results, setting up and maintaining accounts and otherwise providing outstanding customer service.Â Other responsibilities include printing, proofing and sending reports and organizing and filing customer correspondence.
The successful candidate will have excellent written and interpersonal communication skills to effectively interact with and inform staff, graduate students, undergraduate student employees, and collaborators. The candidate will be detail-oriented and possess the ability to manage multiple, ongoing tasks. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and capable of working independently. All department members are expected to interact collegially and in a professional manner and to maintain the highest standards of integrity and ethics.

Â
