The Department of Biomedical Informatics and Medical Education has an outstanding opportunity for a Program Coordinator with the Medical Education Testing and Evaluation group. This position will coordinate the creation and delivery of assessments for the University of Washington School of Medicine (UWSOM).
RESPONSIBILITIES •Work with faculty and staff to build examinations comprised primarily of multiple-choice questions. Import test items into a database and add appropriate category tags (i.e., metadata) to items. •Communicate among multiple departments to generate and manage exam schedules for medical students in the clinical phase. •Coordinate logistics for examinations (both in-person and remote-proctored) with students and staff. •Serve as Chief Proctor for examinations for students in all phases of the curriculum. •Update and maintain UWSOM intranet pages regarding exam logistics, enabling students to find accurate information quickly and easily. •Maintain UWSOM intranet pages for students on exam logistics. •Perform related duties as required.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS •High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of experience coordinating or supporting the administration of exams, preferably in a university or school setting. •Excellent oral and written communication skills. •Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. •Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously. •Ability to effectively interact with co-workers including the ability to work as an effective team member. •Ability to learn new software, including database systems and web content management platforms. •Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum requirements.
DESIRED REQUIREMENTS •Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. •Experience as an Examsoft administrator. •Experience with database maintenance and/or user support.
