This Mother's Milk Dietetic Tech will be responsible for:
Assisting the Clinical Dietitian in providing the optimal nutritional care to patients, which can include formula preparation and food related tasks. Screens at-risks patients who may be at nutritional risk and provides supportive clinical care and follow-up.
Preparing specialized breastmilk nutrition by preparing diets of donor human milk; skim human milk, or high calorie hind milk.
Assisting in inventory of breastmilk, formulas, supplements and supplies.
Utilizes appropriate equipment such as Creamatocrit and Centrifuge for specialized preparation.
To qualify, you must have:
Completion of two years occupationally specific education, training, or an Associate's degree in Nutrition or closely related field. Bachelor's degree in Nutrition preferred.
Certification in ServSafe is preferred.
Minimum of one year of related experience.
Analytical skills to resolve problems that require the use of basic scientific, mathematical, computer or technical principles.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and provide empathy in difficult interpersonal situations.
Proficiency in a nutrient analysis programs.
This is a 32-hour position that is eligible for full-time benefits.
