Lead the purchasing of goods and services, which includes multimillion computing infrastructure assets on site and large-scale public cloud services. Set up consultants, service agreements, and other contracts with vendors.
Work with procurement and appropriate business units with the University to ensure compliance with all university and federal contract guidelines and regulations.
Manage human resource activities for academic and staff employees including hiring, orientation, performance planning and compensation, staff development and employee relations.
Support functional managers by leading human resource processes across the Center and Division.
Lead project management efforts as needed for short-term or temporary projects, working with a cross functional team through the project management lifecycle to achieve a set of milestones and/or deliverables.
May take ownership of new project development and discovery for larger projects prior to funding and team ramp-up.
Include leading and executing outreach initiatives, internal and external communications, programmatic development, and event planning functions. Represent the Center for various business functions.
Develop, build, and maintain successful business relationships with collaborators and stakeholders. Prepare and present reports to leadership.
Uses best practices to develop and execute organization's operational and overall strategic plan. Develops and implements relevant policies and procedures and ensures compliance.
Plans, develops, analyzes and manages budget, including developing multi-year budget forecasts. May oversee the preparation and management of grant and contract proposals, ensuring compliance with all University, federal and private foundation guidelines.
Works with minimal guidance in space, facilities, and equipment, including renovations, moves, maintenance and ongoing facilities operations.
Performs other related work as needed.
