HGSE is hiring a Special Assistant to the Dean's Office to advise, assist and coordinate the exploration of a pilot on-line Master's degree program as an opportunity to further our mission of access and impact in the field of Education. Leveraging the learning, data, and technology from HGSE's experience shifting to online during the global pandemic, the Special Assistant to the Dean's Office will be the administrative lead managing, facilitating, and coordinating the development and launch of the Harvard Graduate School of Education's (HGSE) pilot online degree program offerings on an accelerated timeline.
The Special Assistant to the Dean's Office will be responsible for contributing to and coordinating the planning and logistical support required for the pilot program's design and successful implementation. These responsibilities will require the Special Assistant to collaboratively work with numerous units across the School including degree program colleagues, offices within Enrollment and Student Services, the Teaching and Learning group, and Information Technology group. The Special Assistant will also be required to lead, analyze, and disseminate a market analysis for the demand for such programs, assessment of the competitive landscape, and ensuring the curriculum design reflects what prospective students desire.

As the pilot online degree program is a new venture for HGSE being developed on an accelerated timeline, the Special Assistant must possess exceptional project organization and execution skills, strong collaboration and communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to innovate. In addition, the ideal candidate will have experience in digital learning and engagement projects.
This is a 2 year term position.
Please note once Harvard resumes regular operations this position will no longer be remote and work will be performed on campus in Cambridge MA.
