The Student Services Data and Reporting Coordinator reports to the Assistant Director for Student Services Systems and works closely with the departments within HDS Student Services as well as with HDS's Office of IT and Media Services. The Coordinator provides a wide range of internal and external reporting, data analysis, and technical support for Student Services; administration of the HDS room reservation system, EMS RoomBook; and some basic reception and administrative support and possible partial supervision responsibilities for a graduate assistant.
Conduct, manage, share, and present data analysis and statistical evaluation for the division of Student Services, including reports on admission and recruitment, enrollment, registration patterns, grading, classroom utilization, retention, financial aid, and others, as needed. Use reporting tools such as PS Query, Oracle Business Intelligence, Tableau, Slate queries, EMS RoomBook and others.
Administer HDS's room reservation system (EMS RoomBook), including maintaining user permissions, creating scheduled and ad hoc reports, updating documentation, and training new users.
Maintain a reporting calendar for all Student Services systems.
Participate in data validation and system testing as needed. Investigate data discrepancies between systems.
Represent Student Services on various business user groups and committees.
Troubleshoot systems issues from staff and escalate complex issues to manager, Harvard University Information Technology, or vendor technical support for resolution.
Provide reception and other administrative support for Student Services.

Minimum of five years of experience providing reporting and analytics. Education beyond high school may count toward experience.
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience in academic environment strongly preferred.
Strong proficiency using relational databases and complex reporting tools required.
Knowledge and previous use of student information systems desired.
Familiarity with privacy and security related to student information (FERPA).
Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills.
Accuracy and attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
