UWMC Maintenance has an outstanding opportunity for a full time day shift COMPLIANCE MANAGER (PROGRAM OPERATIONS SPECIALIST).
The purpose of this position is to ensure the UWMC meets safety and regulatory requirements. Additionally, this position assess the physical, environmental, and operational risks and provides recommendations for mitigation.
The Compliance Manager assesses the risk of the physical and operational environment.
Position Dimensions and Impact to the University:
This position is responsible for the regulatory compliance of the Operations and Maintenance department at UWMC.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Overseeing environmental tours to lead a team to evaluate the hospital on a regular basis to ensure that proper safety systems, processes, and equipment are compliant with regulatory requirements. 15%
Management of fire drills, fire alarm maintenance and testing, fire sprinkler system maintenance and testing, special life safety system maintenance and testing, and oversight of all regulatory required life safety system testing records. 40%
Liaison to the Fire Department. 5%
Assists with regulatory site visits and responds to regulatory inquiries. 5%
Assess physical and operational risks and provide recommendations for mitigation or resolution. 20%
Maintain testing and inspection documentation. 15%
This position supervises (1) Safety Professional and (2) Fire Alarm Technicians.

Bachelors' degree in Engineering or related field OR equivalent education/experience.
4-5 years' minimum experience in fire protection and life safety system inspection or regulatory compliance.
