General Statement of Duties: The Painter I will be responsible for updating, repairing, and beautifying surfaces, as assigned, through the application of paint, stain, varnish, and other related materials. The incumbent will be thoroughly skilled in the application of such materials, as well as in the safe and proper removal of materials, and in the preparing of surfaces for new materials. They will prioritize and complete work orders effectively, with minimal disruption to campus activities, and communicate their plans, progress, and challenges to their immediate supervisor. The Painter I will work both independently and in conjunction with other Facilities staff members. The Painter I will serve as a department liaison with all other campus departments when scheduling work requests.

This is a grade 14, non-exempt, full-time (40 hours), benefited AFSCME position.
Bi-weekly salary is $1,625.22 (annual salary is $42,255.72). Work days are Monday - Friday, 4:00am - 12:30pm. Days off are Saturday and Sunday.
