Under supervision from PI, manage the everyday running of a small research lab that utilizes zebrafish as a model system. Responsibilities within the fish facility will include basic zebrafish husbandry and managing undergrad assistants. Other responsibilities in the lab will include ordering and receiving supplies as well as ensuring equipment is clean and well maintained. Successful candidate will be confident in performing PCR-based genotyping and microscopy to screen transgenic zebrafish.
$19.94 - $21.53
A bachelor degree in a science discipline and the demonstration of basic computer literacy - ability to use common software packages etc.
Basic understanding of aquaculture. Previous experience with simple techniques in molecular biology. Be responsible for day to day running of lab - demonstrable managerial skills.
Zebrafish husbandry, genotyping methods and software packages to order supplies.
