Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey is seeking a Program Coordinator for the Community Based Services – Intensive Recovery Treatment Support (IRTS) department at Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care.
The primary purpose of the Program Coordinator position is to provide day-to-day clinical and administrative supervision to program staff. Monitors staff to assure that high quality case management services are provided to individuals with criminal justice involvement and a history of opioid abuse.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Supervises staff on a daily basis, providing administrative direction, and clinical oversight.
Provides staff with direction regarding interventions and recovery supports through individual supervision, group supervision, team meetings, and case conferences.
Reviews all program documentation to include assessment, recovery plans and progress notes to ensure quality and timeliness.
Participates in weekly team meetings to review cases, communicate supervisory updates, and program developments.
Regularly attends and participates in in-service meetings and other designated training events that will enhance clinical skills and maintain best practices.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Master's Degree in appropriate mental health discipline plus four (4) years of relevant mental health post masters experience.
One (1) year supervisory experience
Experience with community based service provision to adults with addictions.
Bi-lingual skills (English/Spanish).
Must submit to random urine screen when requested.
Serves assigned shifts, which may include weekend, holiday and/or off-hour shifts.
One weekend day required.
On call responsibilities as assigned in a 24/7 environment.
Must be approved by the Department of Corrections (DOC) and adhere to all DOC requirements.
