The Executive Education unit within the Rutgers School of Business–Camden (RSBC) is a self- supporting entity, funded entirely by the revenue generated through educational program delivery to individuals and organizations.
Reporting to the Assistant Director, the Program Coordinator I is responsible for facilitating key aspects of the non-credit, business-skills, and executive education programs for both individual participants and corporate partners. Additionally, this position includes supporting the delivery and servicing of both open enrollment and closed cohort training programs that support the professional development certificates, certification programs, and training programs, as assigned.
In the assigned program areas, the Program Coordinator I coordinates and facilitates: program logistics; selection of qualified instructors and subject matter experts; scheduling of classes; and analysis of program effectiveness. The Program Coordinator I also recommends and/or implements changes and improvements. Additionally, the Program Coordinator I serves as a liaison with technology and subject matter content providers used in assigned program areas as well as interfacing, as assigned, with individual customers and counterparts at organizational clients.
The Program Coordinator I performs professional level of work for Executive Education under general supervision and works in assigned capacities with independence and autonomy on most tasks. Overall, the Program Coordinator I completes various tasks and duties that are consistent with an understanding of the mission, vision, role, and goals of Executive Education.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in business, adult education, marketing or communications, plus a minimum of two years of relevant work experience, or combination of education and relevant experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to work both independently and be an enthusiastic team player. Willing and able to perform other functions as required to ensure team success.
Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication, and time management skills. Must be flexible and well organized with meticulous attention to details.
Ability to establish priorities, manage shifting priorities, and handle numerous time-sensitive projects with multiple deadlines, under pressure.
Ability to handle complex situations with diplomacy and tact.
Strong customer service ethic and skills
Demonstrated competence using contemporary desktop, cloud-based and Internet technologies, including, at a minimum: o MS Office suite of software: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, and others o Act! or other CRM application(s), and Learning Management Systems o Virtual meeting systems such as WebEx, Zoom, or others that Rutgers may provide for business use.
Experience in the design and delivery of virtual-based education and training.
Experience in program/curriculum and instructional design to meet organizational objectives and desired learning outcomes.
Relevant work experience at a college or university.
Work experience in sales or marketing of educational products or services.
The Program Coordinator I uses the Microsoft Suite of Tools on a daily basis. The candidate will also work with specialty software related to Executive Education, including a CRM, as well as Learning Management System, virtual meeting applications, third-party e-Learning platform, and others.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
The candidate must be flexible and willing to work non-traditional hours on occasion, including evenings and weekends.
Salary: Starting salary will be commensurate with experience and within departmental budgets.
