The Associate Director, Online Programs will lead the program operations, program finances (including forecasting and reporting, contractor management), participant registration, and customer experience support processes in the development and delivery of premier executive education online programming for the Kellogg School of Management. To achieve this, the Associate Director will collaborate with members of the online program team, program development team, corporate clients, university faculty, other Executive Education professionals, contractors, and Online Program Management partner staff in the coordination and execution of these critical functions.
Additionally, the Associate Director, Online Programs will collaborate with the Kellogg Executive Education program development team to create and deliver an innovative participant experiences and creating a “best in class” learning environment that exemplifies Kellogg’s reputation for excellence; in order to do so, the Assistant Director is responsible for working closely with the Senior Director, Online Programs and Managing Director, Program Development in the design and deployment of best practice processes and practices for Kellogg Executive Education online and blended learning.
The Associate Director, Online Programs will also be responsible for supervising Program Managers in the operation and delivery of online programming.

Directs and leads development of program execution and delivery processes.
Oversees & ensures that day-to-day operations are appropriately managed, efficient and effective.
Ensure operations of online programs, including participant support and facilitator support, are being executed with quality and timeliness.
Oversee operations support staff to ensure custom client participants are registered (in Canvas), online credentials have been generated and certificates have been administered upon completion.
Implement, administer and evaluate day-to-day activities of the online Executive Education courses and programs.
Operationalizes goals & objectives; ensures that resources are created or obtained.
Manages customer experience and service; creates associated practices & procedures & metrics to measure success.
Consult with the Executive Education Corporate Partnership teams to understand client organizations needs and identify programming and enrollment solution approaches.
Assure faculty preparation for program specific matters, such as live-virtual session runs-of-show, presentation materials, rehearsals, technology support
Oversees data analysis & recommends & implements changes & improvement to better ensure attainment of mission.
Manages logistics requirements, including facilities, scheduling, technology, instruction, etc.
Participates in developing IT strategy to meet the mission & needs of program/project. Ensures necessary hardware, software & network infrastructure technology services are appropriated from central or internal IT. Provide technical support and involve KIS as needed.
Works collaboratively with Senior Director, Online Programs, faculty, Executive Education staff, Online Program Management partners and contractors to accomplish duties and responsibilities and delivery online programs to custom clients and open enrollment participants.
Identifies course delivery issues and assist in the design and delivery of solutions; actively participate in efforts to improve processes; bring a mindset of continuous improvement that incorporates best practices and identifies root causes to challenges that emerge.
Serves as liaison with Kellogg Executive Education clients and other Executive Education departments to implement processes involving online programs, including but not limited to reporting on project status, development of standard operating procedures and creation of regular reporting processes.
Maintain proactive contact strategy to provide necessary program information to participants; act as key contact for participants from admission and throughout program delivery by responding to their phone calls, emails, and requests.
Act as point of contact for TA/facilitator/mentor/program leader to ensure smooth delivery of program.
Assists operations support staff in alerting faculty and program leaders when content related questions/issues arise.
Financial Planning, Reporting and Contracting
Builds and monitors all program revenue forecasts and reporting of results.
Works with Senior Director, Online programs on annual budgets, investment proposals and operational plans.
Oversees all daily, monthly & annual financial activities including transactions, analysis, & reporting.
Plans & manages complex budget(s) across all online programming.
Create faculty pay matrix and initiate faculty pay; manage program leader contractor pay processes
Plans & manages royalty compensation for faculty; works closely with Finance.
Collaborates with Corporate Partnerships on arrangements for contracting and invoicing of corporate clients for online programming.
Works with Program Leaders contractors) to ensure appropriate documentation of agreements between NU and contractors are complete and reviewed/approved by all necessary NU officials.
Develops and implements ideas for improving business processes and increasing program/project revenues and margins.
Collects and analyze participant, feedback and financial data, create reports, review and explain trends to support marketing, program delivery, and program design.
Evaluation and Program Innovation
Oversees development & implementation of evaluation processes, quantitative & qualitative measurements that ensure that program/project benchmarks are successfully attained and communicated in a timely and efficient manner.
Manages evaluation processes; recommends & implements changes for enhancement; monitors effectiveness through follow-up evaluation studies.
Assesses programming and recommends changes that will innovate and invigorate program including cutting edge developments in the field and changes to better meet external partners' needs in order to achieve goals.
Collaborates with internal/external resources to develop meaningful outcome measurements and methods of program/ project evaluation that will lead to enhancement.
Analyzes and interprets policies and procedures; develop, revise and implement policies and procedures for online learning.
Works across Kellogg and university departments to ensure best practices and operational effectiveness are implemented in Executive Education online programs.
Work with Senior Director, Online Programs, instructional designers, faculty, staff and others as appropriate to develop processes for online applications, participant orientation and support interventions.
Monitor online learning course-site during delivery; suggest improvements and maintain information and resources available to promote participant success.
Strategic and Portfolio Planning
Provides analysis, guidance and support in the creation of a comprehensive, visionary program and portfolio strategy designed to grow and improve programs and build the Kellogg brand.
Identifies and implements short- and long-term strategies and plans to meet program and project goals.
Develops and executes strategies to involve internal/ external constituents and cultivate new individual, corporate, and institutional collaborations.
Keeps abreast of current online learning standards practices, social media/marketing strategies, and trends in online communities. Also stay current on Executive Education programming trends and helps translate participant experience to an online environment.
Formulates and evaluates alternative solutions and/or recommendations to achieve learning outcomes of online programs; review online participant success initiatives regularly, assess for effectiveness and develop revisions/adjustments as needed to improve outcomes.
Communication, Outreach & Recruitment
Builds and maintains collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to increase program profile, reputation, visibility and support.
Interacts with internal external resources and organizations to identify new markets and opportunities.
Partners with faculty and Executive Education staff to continue to innovate & enhance program/project. Builds relationships with appropriate communities & organizations that will result in program/project enhancement.
Actively obtains market intelligence by monitoring program/project peers/competitors and sharing information with appropriate groups.
Supervises 2-4 operations staff as needed and for specific programs.
Trains new staff in online program processes and procedures.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Master's degree in educational design or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable skills and abilities can be obtained is preferred.
Minimum of four years related professional experience.
