This Research Assistant provides support to the research project: Deciphering the Due Dateusing Artificial Intelligence to Predict and Improve Childbirth led by Dr. Elise Erickson. The RA performs standardized, routine procedures and/or tests, and/or collects, abstracts, enters and/or analyzes data, prepares regulatory documents, and prepares work reports. Some innovation and problem solving is required.
Expected hours for the project are approximately 10-12 hours per week. Duration of the project is approximately 10 months, but may be longer/shorter based on budget and rate of enrollment of participants
Helps screen interested potential participants for research participation
Sends study materials via mail to participants
Tracks screening/enrollment in spreadsheets
Performs informed consent procedures for enrolling in the study (using virtual platform)
Provides instruction on smartphone based application/technology to participants
fitting, wearing device
syncing with smartphone
Ensures data is being collected by checking cloud platform, sending reminders to participants as needed
Tracks survey data via web-based platform, following-up as needed
Gathers/enters medical record data after birth
Maintain privacy, confidentiality of research participant data and ensuring regulatory requirements are met as needed (protocol deviations).
Communicate regularly with PI about enrollment, any participant concerns or need for additional support
Bachelors Degree (4 yr) /No Experience, OR AA (2 yr) and 2 years of relevant experience, OR No degree and 4 years of relevant experience
Demonstrated customer service skills
Experience with data entry and basic computer skills.
Previous research experience
This is a temporary, part-time position.
