* Assists in Coordinating clinical (back office) operations of the medical practice in conjunction with the Director of Clinical Services and the Operations Managers of each site. In this regard plans, organizes, and provides direction for activities performed by clinical staff. * Assists in developing, reviewing, implementing and revising standard operating policies and procedures in collaboration with senior and operations management. * With direction, performs site analysis and audits to meet clinical care and business operational needs. * Supports business and operational needs for clinical training and patient care services that affect quality patient care outcomes. * Provides individual and/or group training to meet organizational goals and objectives. * With direction, performs audits to assure that legal, regulatory and company standards are met and presents findings to Director of Clinical Services. * Works in a collaborative role with other managers and related offices or organizations to assure effective and efficient clinical operations. * Performs audit of the performance of clinical care employees in order to evaluate training effectiveness. * Supports Operations Managers in assigning or directing work and assists in determining staff schedules based upon clinical needs. * Supports Operations Managers as needed in addressing patient, physician, and staff clinical concerns and resolving problems accordingly. * Oversees supply and inventory systems and other support resources for clinical services. * Oversees and ensures a safe clinical environment for staff and patients; helps to identify critical elements for organization's safety committee as well as implement appropriate recommendations from this committee. * Trains clinical care staff to understand job duties and responsibilities as related to the organization's managed care and fee for service business requirements, including, but not limited to fee ticket reconciliation processes, injectable medication needs, pharmacy and supply ordering, referral processes, co-payments, use of appropriate specialty network, and utilization management as is appropriate. * Assists Director of Clinical Services with updating business required certifications and documentations (CLIA, Biohazard certifications, equipment calibrations, etc.). * Assesses clinical care and/or quality issues and provides direction and oversight to provide resolution. * Assesses new products and equipment needs for offices and presents finding to Director or other management. * Supports organizational goals with training, implementation and oversight of projects related to implementation of electronic medical records (EMR) project.
