The Associate Director, Online Program Development & Instructional Design leads a team that provides program strategy, instructional strategy, course development, and course delivery for online and blended learning initiatives across the university. The position consults with academic leaders and faculty on new programs, leads program development, manages course design, development, and media production, and installs research-based instructional standards and innovation that assure a level of program quality reflective of our University. The Associate Director supervises a team of learning design and media development professionals. The position is responsible for developing and sustaining a service model that ensures clear and sustainable roles and responsibilities with school partners and delivering programs that consistently meet or exceed school expectations and goals. The position serves as a key resource for the director in developing vision for online educational programming at the University and in implementing a strategy for achieving institutional goals.
Bachelor's degree in related field.
6+ years' experience of progressive management experience developing and producing online educational programs, including business planning, market research, marketing, content development, and content production
Demonstrated ability to successfully lead a portfolio of large and complex projects simultaneously and/or a service area and assist director in developing a strategy and associated goals and objectives for the organization.
A demonstrated record of exceptional communication skills working within a diverse customer base.
Master's Degree in Educational Technology, Instructional Design, or related field.
Prior experience with higher education.
Experience teaching online.
