Developing high performing solutions on the SalesForce platform, conduct needs assessments, configure apps as required, and also assist in training and on-going client support. Focus would be on declarative solutions and understanding what is accomplished with out of the box functionality.
The SalesForce Developer will be an integral part of the VUIT CRM implementation team, however this is a highly cross functional role that will support teams across the university. Teams that this role will interface with regularly include Division of Communications, Government and Community Relations and Department of Alumni Relations along with others as they pertain to the implementation of SalesForce CRM and Marketing Cloud.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Understanding the business requirements and translating them into robust code (Apex, VisualForce, SOQL, Lightening development etc).
Writing test cases for the written code.
Participate in code reviews and solution architecture.
Packaging and deploying SalesForce code using CI/CD pipelines using Bamboo, Apex Cli, Bitbucket etc.
Building integrations into SalesForce from external applications using SalesForce Bulk API etc.
Building integrations from SalesForce to external applications.
Participate in client meetings and works with Business Analysts/Project Managers to understand their requirements and needs.
Participate in sprint planning meetings/ everyday scrum meetings to establish time lines for project delivery and status update.
Bachelors in Computer Science or related field.
3+ years of SalesForce Development experience.
Certified SalesForce Developer DEV-401 or Platform Developer I
Web services: RESTful web services,, SOAP, tools such as Postman/SoapUI is a plus.
Databases: Postgres, Oracle, MongoDB.
Version Control experience: Git/Github/Bitbucket.
Any experience with AWS/GCP/Azure or other Paas is a plus.
Any experience with Job scheduling tools like Automic or any other Middleware is a plus.
Strong understanding of, and practical experience with web application development
Experience in designing, developing, testing, implementing, deploying and maintenance of software applications
