Manage events and conference activities. Work with program and planning committees made up of internal and external parties and coordinate planning for Agronomy and Horticulture sponsored events. Work with Multimedia Designer to manage event website and related updates. Manage budget and accounting processes related to events and conferences. Create sponsorship and solicitation documents and programs in support of events. Coordinate with other service providers to provide the services required for these events. Travel in support of state-wide large events.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field plus three years of experience in administration, finance, and/or event planning/hospitality; equivalent education/experience considered. Cash handling experience. Excellent computer skills in use of database, spreadsheets, word processing, and e-mail software. Strong communication skills.
Conference and workshop planning experience that includes managing budget/accounting process and use of contracts. Experience with event registration/management software such as such Cvent. Sales, marketing, and business skills. Ecommerce computer knowledge. Detail-oriented and accurate. Strong organizational skills. Ability to work within established procedures. Ability to delegate, manage multiple people/tasks, and work independently without daily supervision.
Posted Salary: $19.622/hr. minimum
