The George Mason University, Facilities department is seeking an enthusiastic and energetic individual for a Budget Analyst position. Reporting to the Director of Budget, Finance and Payroll, this position is responsible for tracking and reporting on the Facilities Management department direct expense budget and project tracking for Maintenance Reserve. The total budget responsibility is approximately 20M. This position will provide daily budget analysis support to the Sr. Director of Facilities Management.
Experience in administrative, budgetary, or financial analysis at the Budget Analyst II or equivalent level;
Previous accounting background to include fund/cost accounting, and sufficient budget and purchasing experience;
Bachelor's degree and experience in accounting, business administration, or a related field supplemented by course work in quantitative analysis; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in facilities budgeting and accounting is required including, knowledge of business management and operations, performance analysis techniques, management information gathering and display and accounting.
Salary: Commensurate with education and experience.
