The Facilities Manager will be required to: •Manage a comprehensive building and grounds program for assigned campus; areas managed include buildings and mechanical maintenance, ground maintenance, housekeeping and related services. •Provide managerial and supervisory guidance to the facilities staff to ensure the proper operation of the physical plant in building project, preventive maintenance, emergency maintenance, regular maintenance, energy management systems, and contractual agreements.
•Considerable knowledge of various construction trades and building codes. •Ability to interpret and apply codes and standards. •Ability to maintain harmonious relationships with staff, faculty, designers, and contractors. •Ability to identify deficiencies in building components through visual inspection and description of operational problems. •Demonstrated ability to communicate orally and in writing. •Knowledge of buildings and grounds trades. •Ability to handle paperwork. Qualifications: • AAS degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education, experience and training. • Significant experience leading facilities management teams. • Valid Driver's License and good driving record. Experience with energy management systems.
