The Housing Bureau for Seniors is seeking a full-time team member to serve as Intake & Resources Coordinator for our programs and services (Foreclosure Prevention, Eviction Prevention and Housing Counseling). This individual will be the initial point of contact for agency coordinators, either by phone or in-person, and will be responsible for screening clients to determine needs, assess the urgency of a situation, and disseminate appropriately. Responsibilities also include development and maintenance of agency resource database. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience working with older adults around issues of housing insecurity and be familiar with relevant community resources.
NOTE: This is a grant-funded position.
A degree in social work from a school accredited by the Council of Social Work Education is required.
Applicants must have a current clinical license to practice social work in the State of Michigan.
Clinical practice and field practicum or recent work experience with older adults is required.

Knowledge of programs and services for older adults is strongly desired
Demonstrate a strong sense of cultural humility and attention to social justice issues.
Proficient use of Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Qualtrics, MiChart and familiarity with functionality of various databases.
Knowledge of University policies, procedures and regulations is preferred.
Work Experience with older adults is preferred.
40 Hours per week. Assigned hours, days of week, and specific work assignments may be modified in response to program, department or service needs. Occasional evenings and weekends may be required.
In response to the COVID19 pandemic, the HBS Team is currently working remotely. This position may require some in office time with the remainder of work week being remote, or as otherwise determined Michigan Medicine guidelines.
