South Central College, with campuses in North Mankato and Faribault, Minnesota, invites nominations and applications for the position of Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs. Reporting to the President, the Vice President is designated as the Senior Academic and Student Affairs Officer of the College. The Vice President will provide collaborative leadership to both the Academic Affairs and Student Affairs functions within the College.
South Central College (SCC) is a comprehensive community and technical college that is part of the Minnesota State system with campuses in Faribault and North Mankato, Minnesota. The college is a financially sound institution focused on helping provide its 4,475 students with the support they need to be successful. 59 percent of the students are full-time with an even distribution of female and male students. Students of color comprise approximately 21 percent of the student body.
As the Senior Academic & Student Affairs Officer of the college, the Vice President will provide collaborative leadership and management to the college's Student Affairs and Academic Affairs functions in support of South Central Colleges Strategic and Master Academic Plans. Specifically, the Vice President will lead and collaborate with the Academic Deans and Associate Vice Presidents to evaluate, and enhance the college's academic and student programming and services, build strategic budgets, and explore resource development. Areas of concentration include curriculum and faculty development, library services, support and promotion of innovation on behalf of student success, strategic scheduling including the implementation of new instructional technologies, and external partnership development and engagement.
