Job Description Summary The Department of English and Media Studies at Bentley University invites applications for a full-time lecturer position beginning in the fall 2021 semester. Candidates should have experience as the instructor of record and demonstrated ability to teach courses for multilingual learners in expository writing and/or public speaking. The successful candidate will teach English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) sections of expository writing and public speaking. Candidates who have TESOL training or certification and/or demonstrated experience teaching classes targeted to non-native English speakers or multilingual learners are preferred.
Teaching load is four courses per semester.
Ph.D. in English, Rhetoric and Composition, Communication or related field. Prior teaching experience at the college level is required. Applicants without the terminal degree must have degree in hand on or before July 1, 2021.
Must be familiar with Blackboard and Zoom or have a willingness to learn. Bentley University makes training available for both platforms.
