Senior Benefits Specialist - Human Resources - (21001097)

Experienced Benefits professional sought to join a collaborative HR team, currently working remotely.
Under limited supervision, uses extensive benefit plan knowledge and expertise to counsel and assist staff, faculty and retirees regarding a variety of benefit programs including health, dental, vision, life, long term disability insurance plans, health and dependent care flexible spending accounts, retirement 401(a) and 403(b) plans, retiree health, leave administration and other ancillary programs.
This role will be responsible for independently and effectively administering benefits programs, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, comprehensive auditing of plan data utilizing critical problem solving and analytical skills. As a key team member, the Sr. Benefits Specialist is responsible for the daily management of benefit plan offerings serving internal clients with exceptional customer service, timely issue resolution, website content management, assisting with the open enrollment process and collaborating with HR Team on new and existing benefit plan offerings.
Exceptional written and oral skills are required to communicate clearly and effectively with internal and external customers. The ability to make decisions that are guided by general instructions and practices requiring some interpretation while setting priorities and organizing work within general guidelines.
Qualifications
Education and Experience: Required:
Associate's degree in HR or related field, but experience and/or other training/certification may be substituted for the education.
7-10 years' experience in benefit plan administration.
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field.
