Leads the university in the management of campus-wide employee and labor relations. Supports and administers the University's four collective bargaining agreements. Coordinates the University's labor and employee relations and employee development programs, including leading contract negotiations, contract administration, processing employee grievances, assisting with or acting as lead advocate for arbitrations and ensuring compliance with University policies, regulations, and procedures. Formulates and delivers training on labor relations, employee relations, contract interpretation, and other related areas. Serves on the leadership team of the Office of Human Resources.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; seven years of successful professional experience in labor, employee relations, and disciplinary matters, including experience in negotiating collective bargaining agreements. Ability to work evenings and weekends as required.
Master's Degree in an appropriate discipline and/or a Juris Doctor degree; recent and relevant Ohio public sector and higher education experience; knowledge of and experience in Ohio Civil Service law, rules, and processes; experience in formulating and presenting training programs; experience acting as a chief negotiator.
