The Department of Health Professions is seeking a tenure-track assistant professor to support its mission in teaching and developing core courses, mentoring students, contributing to scholarly research, and participating in department, college, and university service activities.
A successful applicant for this position should possess the ability to teach in clinical exercise physiology, exercise physiology, exercise testing and prescription, and provide leadership in the areas of clinical exercise physiology. The applicant should have clearly defined and established areas of research, and be able to demonstrate how that research might include students. The ability to engage in interdisciplinary research with students and faculty from various other disciplines is also highly valued.
Plans, organizes, teaches, and provides feedback to promote and direct student success. Responds to students in a timely manner. Communicates with students, departments and university officials via university provided tools and resources.

An earned doctorate in Kinesiology or a related field. ACSM clinical exercise physiology certification. Evidence of experience teaching undergraduate courses, published scholarly work, and service to the profession.
Experience providing direct patient care including initial assessment, development, and adjustment of exercise prescription and plan of care. Willingness to work collaboratively on research projects and grants.
