The Residential Life & Housing Office is seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and responsible graduate student to serve as a Hall Director for the 2021-2022 academic year. Reporting to an Associate Director for Residential Life, the Hall Director (HD) supports the Residential Life & Housing office in its mission to create an exceptional on-campus living experience. The HD trains, supervises, and evaluates a team of Resident Assistants, facilitates weekly one-on-one and team meetings, oversees all programming initiatives, responds to student concerns and issues, and upholds all college policies. Additionally, all HDs participate in one Residential Life committee and the professional on-call rotation during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
This is a 12 month, live-in position requiring day, evening, and weekend responsibilities with an option for 10 month as needed. HDs must hold at least twenty hours of office availability per week with the majority of hours being Monday through Friday from 9AM -5PM.

Required Qualification Summary:
Enrollment in a graduate program in close proximity to Barnard College, not to exceed 16 credits per semester (including internship credits)
Available to work at least 20 hours a week at a minimum of 4 weekdays per week with the majority being 9AM-5PM; flexible day and evening hours
