Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Mental Health Clinician III for the Adult Partial Program at Rutgers, University Behavioral Health Care.
Under supervision, the Mental Health Clinician III provides mental health services that are comprehensive and meet quality and quantity standards. Documents these services appropriately and within specified time frames. Participates in the development of treatment plans, demonstrates competency in recognizing the unique needs and applying relevant treatment for adults (age 18-64 years).
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Participates in and leads therapeutic groups and activities and functions as an active member of the team.
Assumes overall case management responsibilities for assigned cases including coordination of treatment and liaison with other community agencies, healthcare systems and providers.
Maintains appropriate patient records according to the time frames and quality guidelines established by UBHC policy and applicable accrediting organization standards.
Maintains knowledge of trends and developments in the field.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Master's Degree in appropriate mental health discipline.
Applicants possessing a degree in Social Work must have an active New Jersey certification/licensure as required by the State Board of Social Work.
Experience working with adults with severe and persistent mental illness and substance abuse.
A CADC or LCADC.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
May be required to lift of up to 10 pounds.
