Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey is seeking a motivated Program Coordinator for the department of Early Intervention and Support Services (EISS) – Newark within University Behavioral Health Care (UBHC).
In collaboration with the Program Manager, the Program Coordinator will function as a member of the clinical and administrative leadership team in the Early Intervention Support Services (EISS) program. The Program Coordinator is primarily responsible for providing supervision to multi-disciplinary staff and oversight of EISS treatment services for adults.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Supervises staff on a daily basis, providing administrative direction, group coverage, and clinical updates.
Performs duties relevant to a leadership position, managing daily operations of that unit, supporting goals and objectives of UBHC.
Ensures that the program has 24/7 availability for referral to the EISS program.
Monitors staff compliance with all documentation requirements on a consistent basis via documentation reports, supervisory tools and chart review.
Promotes effective working relationships and works effectively as part of the EISS unit team inter-and intra-departmentally to facilitate the unit's ability to meet its goals and objectives.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Master's Degree in a related mental health field and four (4) years of postgraduate experience in related community mental health and/or case management work. Applicants possessing a degree in Social Work must have an active New Jersey certification/licensure as required by the State Board of Social Work.
One (1) year of supervisory experience.
