Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a per diem Nutritionist for the Pulmonary/Cystic Fibrosis Program in the department of Medicine at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
The Nutritionist will join in the multi-disciplinary pre-meetings that occur before both our adult and pediatric CF clinics on Tuesday afternoons (and possibly Wednesdays all day). She/He would participate in weekly clinics and be part of monthly multidisciplinary grand rounds. Once the nutritionist is familiar with CF patients and their current state of health, our plan is to incorporate the service into the office patient visits.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Assesses and plans for nutritional needs of participants.
Attends adult cystic fibrosis clinic weekly (Tuesday) to give dietary input on participant’s health.
Maintains accurate records of all services provided to participants.
Acts as a participant advocate.
Collaborates with CF research.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Interest in the complexity of Cystic Fibrosis Care.
Experience is preferred but not mandatory.
Able to work part time (14 hrs/week) with Cystic Fibrosis patients in the inpatient and outpatient setting.
Salary: $29 per hour
