The Grants Specialist will manage all pre-award functions and post-award amendments for grants and contracts within the College of Engineering forthe Engineering Research Institute. Duties include collaborating, advising, and assisting faculty in the preparation of proposals for federal and non-federal agencies; development and preparation of proposal budgets including subcontracts; establishing timelines; initiating, routing, and approving Goldsheets; applying editorial expertise and formatting requirements; and utilizing extensive experience in grant and contract submissions to interact with funding agencies and resolve questions that arise during preparation. This position will coordinate post-award amendments on contracts and grants, including rebudgets and extensions.
The successful candidate will possess strong organizational skills in coordinating multidisciplinary teams to develop complex applications. This position will require additional hours on occasion to meet submission deadlines.
