The project manager serves the CRE in implementing and optimizing the project management system and providing timelines and reports on project milestones. The PM is also responsible for managing all aspects of events and requisitions related to project travel and implementation. The primary role of the Project Manager is to provide and implement systems thinking, streamline systems, coordinate events, and create efficiencies. Responsibilities include maintenance and optimization of a project management system, project summaries and updates, purchasing, organization of IRB files for multiple ongoing research projects, hospitality, travel arrangements, and event coordination.
Expert level in a project management platform and CRM systems. Strong computer/typing skills and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe. Ability to effectively communicate and exchange information.
Three years of project management experience. Prefer an associate with more than five years of experience in a fast-paced professional environment. Experience in IU systems and Salesforce. Knowledge and familiarity with Buy.IU, IU Motor Pool procedures, Engencia Corporate Travel, and project management software.
Working Conditions / Demands
This position requires some physical effort (such as retrieving and distributing supplies) but mostly mental effort and multitasking (managing a very busy office, prioritization of tasks, attention to detail).
