Serve as a Nurse for the IU COVID-19 Medical Response Team as part of the Contact Tracing program. This position is 100% virtual and remote and will rely on phone and/or video call interactions. Plan and provide virtual professional nursing counsel to IU faculty, staff and students as it relates to their COVID-19 quarantine and isolation periods. Practice professional nursing in accordance with state and national regulations, established policies and procedures and with guidance from the physicians and leadership of IU's COVID-19 Medical Response Team. Collect and analyze constituent data from daily symptom monitoring applications, perform telephone assessments, provide guidance and recommendations, and give COVID-related health education. Position includes entry of information into an IU database.
* Work hours will vary, with shift assignments made on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. Work will normally be restricted to the hours of 8am to 9pm, and will include weekday and weekend assignments. * This position is supported on external funding, therefore continued employment is contingent upon maintaining the current level of support.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree and one year of experience; OR LPN/diploma in nursing and four years of experience.
Indiana state nursing license, active and without restrictions. Excellent communication skills. Multicultural and diversity competence. Comfort using tablets, computers, headsets, and cell phones. Ability to read, understand, and implement referral procedures, which may change based on incoming data.
