A Postdoctoral Fellow position isavailable in the laboratory of Dr. Duane Miller in the College of Pharmacy, Departmentof Pharmaceutical Sciences located at The University of Tennessee HealthScience Center, Memphis, Tennessee The PostdoctoralFellow will be working on the synthesis of new drug molecules that will inhibittubulin and block the growth of cancer cells. The Postdoctoral Fellow will get directionson the chemical preparation of new molecules from Drs. Duane Miller and Wei Li,Professor, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, and will report the synthesisprogress results in a joint Research Meetings held once per week when both, themaking of drug molecules by the postdoctoral fellow and the results from thebiological work carried out by another member of our team, will provide resultsto move our efforts toward a new drug molecule that can be used for the treatmentof cancer.

Highly motivated applicants with astrong background in chemistry, medicinal chemistry and biochemistry who wouldlike to work in a rich and collaborative research and training environment willbe considered.
