This Relief House Staff is responsible for:
Administering operating policies, procedures and implementation, record-keeping, information systems/reporting, maintenance, housekeeping, laundry, dietary, security and transportation needs of facility in collaboration with the day house manager and hospital departments.
Ensuring that house rules, procedures, and protocols are followed by guests, keeps apprised of the medical status of child and the changing needs of the family.
Ensuring all resident families are functioning well together while lending support, managing problematic guests and assisting day manager in arranging support services.
Responding to crisis situations, including medical and psychosocial, in compliance with the policies of the hospital and the City of Boston, MA.
Collaborating with the Executive Committee of the Devon Nicole House.
To qualify, you must have:
The level of knowledge typically acquired through completion of two years of occupationally-specific education or training in a field related to human services or hospitality and one to two years' experience.
The analytical skills to resolve problems that require the use of basic scientific, mathematical, or technical principles.
The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and provide empathy in difficult interpersonal situations.
A high regard for confidentiality and sensitivity in working with clients and staff.
Basic computer competency.
Must be mature.
Must be available to work the 2 required Saturday into Sunday shifts (one 24 hour shift per pay period, paid bi-weekly) plus rotating holidays.
Overnight Schedule: Saturday 4:30 pm - Sunday 5:00 pm (paid sleep time between 10:00 pm-8:00 am) and rotating holidays.
