Research - Laboratory/Non-Laboratory, Staff/Administrative
70% General experiment-related lab tasks: These tasks include, but are not limited to, assisting with animal work and assisting or performing various in vitro experiments to support other lab members. Additional tasks may also include the preparation of buffers, media or agar plates, or other similar preparatory work, DNA/RNA extractions, cloning, cell culture, and assisting with other in vivo and in vitro work as instructed.
20% General maintenance lab tasks: These tasks include, but are not limited to, assisting with ordering, lab supply tracking, regular equipment maintenance, and general housekeeping tasks (e.g. dish washing, autoclaving, etc).
10% Assist with communications, paperwork, and organizational tasks. Help maintain various databases/spreadsheets, including data entry and auditing. Additional duties as assigned.
All required qualifications must be documented on application materials
BA/BS or a combination of education and work experience to equal 4 years.
Previous experience with working in a wet lab environment.
Must be detail oriented, organized, comfortable working independently or with minimal direction.
Must have excellent problem solving skills.
Experience with various in vitro and in vivo assays.
Previous experience managing calendars, spreadsheets, databases, and other basic administrative and organizational tasks.
