Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Manage daily operations of a large mixed method, multi-site study (including remote work), including: 

  • Supervise graduate research assistants ~ 10% 
  • Schedule meetings for multi-site team ~ 10% 
  • Assist with recruitment of participants and community advisory board (CAB) members ~ 10% 
  • Act as liaison between CAB and study team ~ 10% 
  • Assist with qualitative data analysis, using Atlas.ti or NVIVO software ~ 10% 
  • Maintain study records (e.g. recruitment/consent, meeting notes, study products) ~ 10% 
  • Contribute to data analysis, manuscript development, and scientific and community dissemination ~ 10% 
  • Other tasks as needed ~ 30%

Required Qualifications *

  • Deep understanding of the lived experience of LGBTQ youth of color 
  • Earned doctoral degree in Public Health, Nursing, Family Social Science or related field 
  • Experience conducting both qualitative and quantitative research 
  • Experience managing complex research studies 
  • Experience working with adolescents ages 12-19 
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and remotely 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Detail-oriented and able to keep accurate written records 
  • Willingness to engage in sensitive or uncomfortable conversations with a large team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with communities of color and/or the LGBTQ community 
  • Experience conducting complex statistical analysis 
  • Experience with qualitative data organization and coding 
  • Experience working with confidential data in terms of Human Subjects and HIPAA requirements 
  • Located in Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN; Austin, TX; or Washington DC area
