Virginia Western, located in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains of the Roanoke Valley, is accepting applications for a part-time adjunct faculty position for Culinary Arts and Baking & Pastry in the School of Business, Technology and Trades for the Fall 2017 academic semester. Adjunct faculty positions are appointed on a course-by-course, semester basis as needed and based on enrollment. Responsibilities include teaching developmental and/or college-level courses, on- and off-campus courses during the day and evening, on weekdays and weekends. Faculty are expected to maintain currency in their teaching disciplines and in trends in community college education.

Virginia Western Community College is a two-year public institution of higher education operating under a statewide system of community colleges. The College operates under the policies established by the State Board for Community Colleges and the Virginia Western Community College Board. The service region of the College includes Roanoke, Salem, Roanoke County, Craig County, southern Botetourt County, and northern Franklin County.
