JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Under the direction of the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Assessment, this position directs the College of Pharmacy's (COP) accelerated, 3-year pathway to the Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree (or Immersive PharmD Accelerated Track [ImPAcT]) by mentoring and coordinating students in the ImPAcT track pathway to ensure student success in the program and for post-graduate opportunities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serves as a course director for repackaged or asynchronous courses in the ImPAcT pathway and collaborates with the Office of Academic Affairs to create assessments that reflect the 4-year pathway.
Formulates the curricular and course schedule for the ImPAcT student cohorts in conjunction with the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Assessment. Instructs coursework as assigned.
Liaises between the faculty instructors/course directors of asynchronously delivered courses.
Collaborates with the OELIP to create IPPE and APPE schedules for the ImPAcT cohort.
Promotes on-time graduation for the ImPAcT cohort and mentors' students to successfully secure post-graduate training/employment within three (3) months of graduation.
Provides informational sessions to PO/P1 students regarding the accelerated pathway options.
Directs the selection process in Fall P1 year for students applying to the pathway.
Monitors the ImPAcT curricular pathway in conjunction with the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Assessment and the Curriculum Committee.
Provides student performance data, assesses student performance/experience, and provides recommendations to improve the quality of the program.
Meets, mentors, and educates students about co-curricular activities and professional development in the ImPAcT program.
Meets with the cohort and individual students periodically to understand and address any concerns and provide counseling for the pathway.
Observes students' well-being and academic performance, in conjunction with the Offices of Student and Academic Affairs.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
