We are seeking a motivated research technician with a background in cell and molecular biology. The individual will support the High-Throughput Genomics group in the Division of Computational Biomedicine. This individual will be responsible for library preparation of single-cell RNA sequencing using in-house protocols Responsibilities will also include RNA/DNA isolation and bulk RNA sequencing as well as maintenance of the equipment and reagents inventory.
The successful candidate will be a highly responsible individual with phenomenal attention to detail, capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment and working independently, accurately following molecular biology protocols and processing large number of samples
At least 2 years of previous laboratory experience and familiarity with basic molecular biology techniques are required
Previous experience with next generation sequencing or single cell RNA-Seq is not required, but useful
A BA or BS in biology, biochemistry or other life science subject area and basic digital literacy are required
