Research Technician - Department of Neuroscience, School of Medicine - (21001068)

This is a grant funded position and is not eligible for severance pay.
The Department of Neuroscience is a basic science department that focuses on cutting-edge research in the areas of synapse development and function, sensory systems, and complex behavior, cognitive neuroscience and behavioral neurobiology. Dr. Stephen Moss is supported by funding from the federal government, private foundations, and industry.
Under close supervision of Principal Investigator, conducts a variety of routine experiments following established procedures and protocols. There are two primary functions of this position: 1) Genotyping and managing a mouse colony, 2) Preparation of primary neuronal cell cultures. Having prior experiences in stem cell culture and immunoblotting is a plus.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in science with up to 1 year laboratory experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with basic laboratory techniques and procedures.
An employee in this position must complete all appropriate background checks at the time of hire, promotion, or transfer.
