The Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory of Columbia University located in Palisades, New York, invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Scientist position focusing on micro- and nano-scale processes, and imaging of these processes, during various aspects of natural and engineered carbon mineralization, in collaboration with a vibrant research group investigating: (1)looping of MgCO3-MgO and CaCO3-CaO via calcining (heating) carbonate materials to produce CO2 for storage or use, plus reactive oxide material, followed by weathering of the oxides to remove CO2 from air.
