The Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Nephrology and Hypertension seeks a General Nephrologist to join our team at East Carolina University Physicians, Brody School of Medicine, at the rank/title of Clinical Assistant, Clinical Associate, Clinical Professor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor, with tenure track or fixed-term appointment.
The Division is actively involved in the training/teaching of medical students, residents, and nephrology fellows. This position will be involved in clinical activities in the outpatient clinic and at Vidant Medical Center (VMC).
Research opportunities exist. VMC is the tertiary referral center for Vidant Health, a regional health center network serving 29 counties.
The ECU Brody School of Medicine affiliates with VMC. VMC is the flagship hospital for Vidant Health and serves as the teaching hospital for the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University.

The Department of Medicine is a very complex organization. Our specialties include allergy, dermatology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, general internal medicine, hematology, immunology, infectious disease, nephrology, neurology, oncology, pulmonary medicine and rheumatology. The Department of Internal Medicine is comprised of ten divisions with over 85 full time faculty and 150 support staff members. Each of the divisions has its own specialty clinic. Administration of the department provides a management structure that coordinates and supports the activities of a large, complex and heterogeneous organization.
